FDA Anticipated to Announce COVID Vaccine Regulations

The FDA is anticipated to announce new regulations relating to the release of any COVID-19 vaccine. This move is believed to be in response to public concerns regarding the efficacy and safety of a 'rapidly developed' vaccine. According to the Pew Research Center, the percentage of Americans who would readily accept a COVID-19 vaccine if it were available today has actually declined in recent weeks, down to 50%. In other words, half of the people polled would not take a COVID-19 vaccine, even if it were available tomorrow.

The study and the anticipated FDA regulations are key indicators that any response to COVID-19 must be well thought out, planned for and carefully implemented. COVID responses must be provided in a way that inspire understanding, confidence and trust. With the increasing likelihood that COVID-19 will be a continuing workplace issue for many months to come, Mobile-Med is working hard every day to support our clients and partners with responsible, thoughtful COVID-19 response services. Americans do not presently agree on whether an immediate vaccine is safe--but we can all agree that our workplaces should be safe. Contact us today to find out more about our occupational health services and our COVID-19 response plans.
